    • Our peering network partner experienced a DDoS attack that caused heavy congestion on internet peering links.
    • DDoS mitigation tools are now scrubbing the traffic, preventing it from reaching there network.
    • The engineering team has confirmed that the service remained stable, and all services have been fully restored.

  • At 14.20 our systems reported a major service outage, this is a cross all platforms.


    We are not currently investigating this, and speak with peering partners as the outage is off our network and somewhere in the core of the internet.

    INvestigations are showin there is a major issue at a London internte exchange where most of the UKs tarffic is routed. Systems will reconnted but with such a large volume of internet tarffic this could take some time.

    We have now seen peering connctions start to heal and we are seeing all our site and connections back online.

    The major service outage that occurred at 14:20 on August 12, 2024, affected several ISPs and service carriers across the UK. The disruption was linked to an issue at one of the London Internet Exchanges, which play a crucial role in managing internet traffic. The outage led to significant connectivity problems for users across the country, with reports indicating that traffic through some exchanges was either severely slowed or entirely halted during this period.

    Our engineers are coming to the end of engineering works to lay replacement cables for the ones damaged by Netomnia LTD. Although the damage was severe we had 2 teams working to speed the fix up. All customers affected in the Newstead are and a small area of Annesley should be coming back online on the next 30 mins.

    Our engineers are at site and have found damage caused to our underground fibre cables caused by another fibre company called Netomnia STL who are installing in the area. This damage is now looking to be extensive, and we have another road crew on their way out to site to try to speed operations up for our customers. We will update this status again around 8PM.

    Our engineers have climbed the mast today and after checking all our kit, including cables, connectors and dishes we have found the fault to be interference from a local radio transmitter on the same mast. we have done everything we can to reduce any adverse affects to our network, and at this point in time the network looks stable. We are now working with the local radio station and Ofcom for a permanent solution to  the issue.

    We thank you for your patience and continued support, and while this issue is not on our network side we will continue to work hard to make sue our systems are affected as little as possible until a solution is in place.

    We are actively investigating a problem with streaming tv services, such as sky, amazon disney and others.

    The error users are seeing: your are outside the UK, Using a VPN or Proxy.

    At present, we do not have a definitive answer for you as this issue lies within the streaming TV servers, which are managed by a third party.
    Rest assured, we are in communication with them to resolve this matter.

The streaming services such as Amazon, BBC, ITV and others all use the data to help block uses that are NOT in the uk or on VPN servcies, It is NOT our responcablity to enusre that data is updated, this down to the streaming content provider, we do not know how long a perdiod betwen the updates on the data bases to when the streaming prover updates there own system, search online suggest once a week to once a month.

    We traced the fault to a fault on a inline batter backup unit that has started to fail, We have removed this for the time being and will replace with a new unit in the coming days.

    We are now jointing the damage fibre ,this work is being slowed by the rain, estimated time for service being live is 2130, if all goes well. This damage has been caused by openreach contractors that have sawn through a main fibre core.

    The damage to the openreach network has been caused by contractors, this not only has taken down our core feeds, it also has effected, the fire station, mobile masts and the schools in the area.

    Trees have grown a lot this year and we have seen number of customers with tree growth in the signal path, please check that trees in your own garden are not affecting your signal, if they are then you will need to get the tree trimmed if possible or we can move the aerial for you as a small charge see FAQs on our website.

    Engineers have found that the earlier outage was due to a faulty radio transmitter at our Dorket head mast that feeds service to our Flawabough mast. A replace tramsitter has been orderd and engineers will be replacing the radio over the next 24 hours.

    Service is live in all areas, but there may be some slow spots at peak times until the radio is replaced and running at full speed.

    There was a Western power distribution power outage that affected over 300 homes and businesses on the scraventon side of the A46 where our transmitter is located, this is a matter out of our hands, a engineer was dispatched at 3pm to head to the site with a generator just in case WPD did not get the power back online, but they did restore power around 15.50.
