Tenda Nova

If you've reset your router, follow the steps below to get back online.

Nova can only be set up from a mobile phone, using the TendaWifi app, connected by Wi-Fi. If your device says "no internet" when connecting, choose Continue anyway — some Apple devices won't proceed past this point, so you may need a non-Apple device.

Get The App

Download the TendaWifi app from the Google Play Store or Apple App Store, then register — you can sign up with a social media account or create a new one.

Getting Online

  1. Plug the cable from your fibre/aerial power unit into the Nova's WAN port and power it on.
  2. On your phone's Wi-Fi settings, find the network named NOVA-xxxxxx — this matches the name on the base of the master unit.
  3. Connect using the password on the base of the master unit. Your phone may say "no internet" — choose Continue or Yes anyway.
  4. Open the TendaWifi app.
  5. You should see the "Welcome to Nova" screen — tap Setup.
  6. The Nova will detect your connection type — this will be PPPoE.
  7. Enter your PPPoE username and password from your welcome email.
  8. Set your Wi-Fi network name and password — we suggest using the same details printed on the base of the master unit.
  9. Your phone may disconnect and need to reconnect to the Nova's Wi-Fi. If you changed the name or password, use your new details to log back in.
